Ultrasounds
Ultrasounds are non-invasive imaging tests that use sound waves to create detailed pictures of internal organs, including the uterus, ovaries, and other structures of the female reproductive system. They are essential for diagnosing and monitoring conditions such as ovarian cysts, fibroids, endometriosis, abnormal bleeding, and pregnancy. Ultrasounds can also guide certain procedures and track the progress of treatments. There are two main types: transabdominal (performed over the abdomen) and transvaginal (performed with a probe inserted into the vagina for a closer view).
